Built in 1873, Gunners' Barracks exudes old-world charm with its beautifully restored interiors and classic features. The venue boasts three unique ceremony locations: the Harbour Terrace, Sandstone Courtyard, and Harbour View Lawn, each offering its own distinct ambiance.  Whether you're envisioning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, Gunners' Barracks provides the perfect setting.

THE CEREMONY

We’ve been to Gunners Barracks several times, whether it’s a romantic courtyard ceremony, a sun-drenched celebration on the Harbour View Lawn, or a cosy, rain-ready setup on the Terrace, we’ve styled it all. Even the Tearoom Ceremony, you don't see it online often, but we have experienced them all. Each space has its own charm, and we love tailoring every detail to make it feel personal, seamless, and unforgettable for every couple.

THE RECEPTION

When we talk about the reception design, usually start with floor plan. As a wedding venue, Gunners Barracks, the floor plan is flexible from traditional long bridal table to a round family head table, from cosy communal style guest tables to a conservative style to create the circles.

In general, we ask the floor plan to give the suggestion of flower design and the room styling idea, that is crucial when come down to your budget management from the styling point of view.

In Gunners Barracks, the fireplace mantel is the usually the key area couples want to elaborate. In order to utilise the room and structure, fireplace mantel can create the backdrop behind the main table, add flowers and candles will definitely emphasize the vintage character and make the highlight.

Gunners' Barracks is a beautiful blend of classic elegance and heritage charm, combined with accessibility and flexibility. If there is a downside, it will be the limited to wedding size. However, I guess it is an advantage for weddings today. IYKYK.
